Anywho! Saw this piece and couldn't resist slapping some color onto it. (at least you finished this one) I'm going to ignore that.... Anyway, when I was coloring it; I kinda didn't have internet. So, no references were used, thus there being two different colored costumes. I was also pleasantly surprised on how well Iceman's look turned out. Same goes for Beast. (yeah considering they scared the shit outta you) you're an ass, you know that? (

I'm looking at the original. If you want some critique...
The tones are to hard. Try to soften your colors and try to work volume, rather than selection. Beast looks great because the colors are in harmony, bu the rest are a little off. Try to harmonize the colors more, consider the color the light source you're imagining will produce.
Try to make the background serve the picture. When you have darks on characters you want to enfaticize (did I spell that right?), you want to make a bright background that will ake them stand out.
Its all about practice, and images like these are good for cutting your teeth.
